HELP!
I've just discovered the smallish "Blue Brie" cheese in my fridge is worth almost $80. Normally with Brie I cut off the fungus white coat on the outside and take half the cheese with it.
Aussies however, tend to eat the fur. Do I become Aussie or do I waste approx $30 of cheese by binning it with the fur coat? I'm so confuselated and I had the crackers all ready too.....

i don't like the rind either. it has a certain undesirable flavour. try cutting the brie in 1/2 while it's cold. when you have two circles then you can use a knife to get at the luscious insides
Eating the rind isn't an Australian thing, surely? Unless it's an East Anglian thing too.
You mustn't eat the mold if your preggers, but otherwise you can safely go for it.
Personally, I don't eat the rind either: I give it to my beloved blue dog, Bindu.
Thank you all for your advise. However:
I found an easy option. I gave it away. It made me look bloody generous for giving away a chunk of expensive cheese and the drama went with it. Someone elses problem now.
I kept the sesame and poppy seed crackers though. They're awesome.
And Goblin, I may be a large unit but please don't tell me I look pregnant. Seriously, I'm not that overweight am I?!
The rind is the best part!! Aussies might all be crazy but they know their stuff... you'll have to tell me what you decided :P
Oops, I just saw the answer to that in your comment-post... blush. Hope you're having a great Sunday avo luv!
Two cents: You just can't keep up can you? And you're 5 years younger than me. What do they do to you wacky Canadanians? Or possibly perhaps I mean "What do they do to us whacky Euro-Aussies?" Luvs ya back.
