Out of Area

Herro Everyone!

Yeah, so I lied. Sue me. It was accidental.

Well, the reason I was so happy the previous post is that I was about to go celebrate. I meant to tell you all much sooner so to some it may be old news now, but I had two very good pieces of the newses.

a) Bro coming on his first trip to Aus in November to see me

b) I'd just paid for my tickets to pop to the UK to visit the friends and relies for Kritmas.

c) You don't need a c), a) and b) are easily awesome enough.

So yeah, that was that. Surfers was also very cool and I did mean to post upon my return but unfortunately I was the victim of a drink spiking in Surfees. Some one put something in my beer (I think it was the 11th one) that made me so dizzy and blurry eyed that I couldn't type by the time I got home. Potent whatever it was but fortunately the only after effect was dehydration solved with (remember this people - I think it could be used for hangovers too) Water.

Then I had a week where I didn't really want to talk too much as there was a high chance that my company were going to close my department so I was in a bit of a sook over that. Yeah I know I'm a contractor but I do feel kind of attached to this place as I've been here for so long now. But it's all good, things are secure a while longer.

Then they sent me to Hell. The most toxic city in the westernised world. It's allowed to be toxic cos no one comes here. It's a city of about 18000 people which is ickle by anyones standards. It's in the middle of the outback desert and supplies have to be flown in on the recently upgraded service of one flight per day.

So, two weeks have been spent here, within reach of gas mask in case the direction of the wind changes and engulfs us with fumes.

There have certainly been a few amusing stories and this time I will endeavour to keep my promise of letting y'all know. The end of the busy stretch is in site! Better go now as I'm pinching a connection and I'll be totally abandoned if I dont post this now.

Sorry folks, and nice to know you missed me!

Hmm.

Another day in paradise

It's 8.51am on a Sunday morning. I is over-hung. In 9 minutes friends are arriving and we're going to Surfers Paradise for the day. It's about 23 degrees but will soon be about 30. Sucks to be me eh?

I'll post about my news in a few hours :)
